The three musketeers Athos, Aramis, and Porthos have grown old. But a last adventure awaits them. Louis XIV is now in power and leads a senseless, extravagant life at the expense of his subjects. D'Artagnan is his captain. At the same time, a mysterious man with an iron mask has been imprisoned in the Bastille for many years. Only a few know his true identity. When the king makes Athos' son’s fiancée his mistress and sends Athos’ son off to a senseless war where he dies, the reckless plan matures among the former musketeers to depose Louis XIV, and a great story of honor, love, and loyalty begins to unfold. For standing against them is D'Artagnan as captain of the musketeers who are to protect the king's life.
